UNFURLING  Opening night Spetember 2nd 6:00-8:00PM Exhibition Runs September 2nd - October 3rd 2026

My practice explores stereotypes related to gender, identity, and cultural background. It focuses on the deconstruction of societal conditioning and prescribed gender roles.  As I continue to understand my queerness and reconnect with my femininity, my work becomes a space of unlearning and reclamation of a more authentic self.  I am reconnecting with suppressed parts of myself, allowing self-definition with autonomy and acceptance. 

Materiality is an integral part of my work, using wood, watercolour, ink pens, charcoal and digital processes to investigate and question traumatic life experiences. Embedding and layering materials to create texture and form, deepening visual and material meaning. The medium becomes an active participant in its own making, determining the evolution of the work as it shifts and moves in response to my thoughts and actions.
