About the event
Fancy a walk? Join us on a photo walking tour of Karangahape Road to document our queer local histories. The goal is to create an ongoing digital archive of images that will preserve and represent histories of Tāmaki Makaurau significant to our communities. And with an active digital archive we will be able to continue adding content into it.
We will be joined by Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland Museum Wikimedian in Residence, who will guide us through how to upload images to Wikimedia Commons, and share our community archive.
The walking tour will depart The Charlotte Museum at 11:15.
Please bring a device like a camera or phone to take photographs.
If you live, study or mahi in Tāmaki Makaurau that is part of our queer history then please take some photos and bring them along on the day it add into our Wikimedia Commons archive!
